The begining
Like many I don't have the privilege to wakeup at the the foot of my māunga. Whenever I look at Hikurangi māunga paintings it takes me home , to sitting on my mamas porch with a cuppa kāwhe - Watching my māmā in the mārakai with my whānau around me🌿 I'm reminded that no matter where I am, my māunga sits within me.
The intention
To create stories for others. Ones of beautiful memories that fill the ngākau and take you back to these special places. Letting the painting speak for who they are and what they mean for each individual that comes across them.
